Lenten Mission

On March 8 & 9 Sr. Helena Burns from the Daughters of Saint Paul in Toronto, will be visiting Cold Lake for a Parish Mission. She will be giving 3 talks, child care will be provided.

This is the schedule:

Saturday March 8 @ 3 pm
Finding Your Feminine Identity in Christ
Topic: Theology of the Body and Women and why an all male Priesthood (Women only)

Sunday March 9 @ 2 pm
Introduction to the Theology of the Body Part 1
3 pm Break
3:15 pm Introduction to Theology of the Body Part 2
4:15 pm Q & A
4:45 pm Potluck Supper
6 pm “Turning Hot Button issues into fruitful conversations”
Topics: Living together, Homosexuality, Gay Marriage, Humanae, Vitae and Contraception, Sexting and Pornography.

St. Helena Burns is not to be missed. She has a B. A. in Theology and Philosophy from St. John’s University, in NYC.
She give workshops to teens and adults on Media Literacy, Philosophy, and Theology of the Body. She’s the movie reviewer for “The Catholic New
World,” plus does many other great things!
